2011-12 Welcome to Rotary Coordinators
Since the RC Institute, several resources have been created or updated that relate to your roles as RCs. Below are some new and updated resources, as well as other information. Humanitarian Service Two new publications have been developed to help clubs strengthen service activities: - An Introduction to New Generations Service is designed to help clubs to involve youth and young adults in their vocational, community, and international service projects. The publication provides ideas on programs and resources that support New Generations. View and download the publication at http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/735en.pdf . Rotary’s Areas of Focus Guides introduces the six areas for volunteer projects that align with the RI Strategic Plan and The Rotary Foundation’s Future Vision Plan to address critical humanitarian needs. Membership Development Monthly updates on membership statistics by country and district/zone are available at http://www.rotary.org/en/Members/GeneralInformation/MembershipResources/Pages/ridefault.aspx . From this page, look for the "Membership Trends and Information” section, then the “Monthly comparisons” sub-section for the following reports: 1. Strategic Planning The Strategic Plan presentation from the RI Convention in New Orleans is posted the RC Exchange. It is a large file that can be downloaded. A new strategic planning tool has been designed for clubs. The Be a Vibrant Club PowerPoint presentation encourages long-range planning and offers tips. You can review and also save a copy of the presentation at http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_ppt/clp_en.ppt . A wealth of other materials related to the RI Strategic Plan and strategic planning for clubs and districts are posted at www.rotary.org/strategicplan . RI Board Decisions Highlights of the Board meetings held in May are posted at http://www.rotary.org/en/Members/PoliciesAndProcedures/BoardDecisions/Pages/ridefault.aspx .
